The Next Generation Pharmaceutical Summit 2009
The Next Generation Pharmaceutical Summit has grown to become the standard for senior level pharmaceutical executives looking to share ideas with peers, build partnerships with industry thought leaders, and hear from key experts on how to address some of their most pressing challenges in discovery and development, clinical research and beyond. Going forward in 2009, we are dedicated to listening to the needs of our delegates and providing the best solutions for them to drive their R&D, clinical research efforts in the right direction more efficiently and more effectively. We hope that you will join us at the Ritz Carlton Resort, in Amelia Island on October 28th-30th, for our second strategy summit session of 2009; with more delegates, better workshops, more networking opportunities, and the best solution providers in the industry.
In today’s tumultuous economic climate, it is now more essential than ever for pharmaceutical leaders and solution providers alike to convene together to discuss how future collaborations and technology investments will help provide the industry shelter from the storm of in-house cutbacks and dissolving pipelines. The pharmaceutical industry continues to be driven by the productivity of its discovery & development efforts as well as key collaborations and acquisitions. Thus, this industry has become more dependent on innovative technologies and services than ever before.
The Next Generation Pharmaceutical Summit promotes a highly controlled, professional and focused environment. The NGP Events Team works very closely with all attendees in the run up to the event to ensure a pre-determined itinerary of meetings and discussions designed to maximize each executives time. The foundation of the event is based on the principle that leaders learn from fellow leaders. The traditional lecture format and trade show environment has been traded in favor of intimate panel and think tank style discussions, interactive workshops with Q&A sessions and keynote speeches by some of the industry’s most important leaders. The goal of the summit is for all attendees to come away with having created long-term, valuable relationships that they can continue to build on.

NGP Exclusive: Video Podcasts
“It was an outstanding venue and format. The event created an open dialogue between pharma and providers which helped to reveal strengths and weaknesses in the drug discovery and development process”
Bill Campbell VP, Discovery Technologies, Millenium Pharmaceuticals
“The format of the NGP Summit s a welcome departure from your typical meeting. I found that it really helped to foster greater networking and communication between delegates and solution providers. A very productive meeting.”
Matthew Pando, VP R&D, Exonhit
“The event was truly engaging and the format was terrific, informative and provocative. While I have worked with both Michael Shi (Novartis) and Robert Pietrusko (Viropharma) who have attended the NGP Sumit before, I had not contacted them to discuss their experience. They both were as enthusiastic the second time around. As I said to a few, I recently attended DIA, but got more leads out of the 2 days at the NGP Summit than the 4 days at DIA.”
Angus Grant VP, Regulatory Affairs, Celgene
“The program was well organized and promoted great interactions. It was very well run and the NGP staff should be highly congratulated for organizing this event!”
Charles Bisgaier, President, Pipex
“The NGP meeting was the most effective executive summit I have attended. The knowledge and contacts I gained during the meetings will help Pfizer achieve its strategic goals. I have made quite a few contacts who I will actually use to do business with.”
Giles Day Senior Director, Targets & Mechanisms Informatics, Pfizer
