Today, pharmaceutical companies are faced with a bigger challenge than ever before.  The cost of R&D is rising while the number of new drugs approved is falling.  R&D executives are waking up to the shortcomings of drug applications that cannot be approved because of errors or lack of adequate evidence of their safety and effectiveness.

The NGP Discovery & Development Summit 2008 is the forum for senior level discovery and development executives to come together and engage in interactive workshops, intimate panel discussions and network with industry peers to procure and re-examine their R&D objectives.

NGP has elected 60 of the most well respected R&D decision makers in the US pharmaceutical and biotechnology space.  The delegation is flown on behalf of NGP to the summit on an invitation-only basis and invitations are based on the level of responsibility of the delegate as well as the investments these executives are currently making to drive the industry forward. 

Whilst there are a dozen sponsors in attendance, the program is designed with the end user in mind.  The delegate attendance and meeting format has been developed to surpass the traditional exchange of business cards and allow executives to communicate on a much more personal level.
